Period of Employment: Part Time (Mon-Fri, 6am-8am)

Location: Bridge Community Church – Leeds

Salary: £11.44 per hour

Closing Date: June 30th 2024

Main Purpose of Role: 

We have recently entered a new partnership with a school dedicated to supporting children aged 16-18 with additional needs. The school will be occupying three of our rooms on the Church premises. As part of this partnership, our trading company is seeking a Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of three rooms and toilets used by the school from Monday to Friday. During school breaks, additional cleaning duties will be assigned within the Church building.

Our desire is that our site and their operation reflect our mission that ‘The name of the Lord will be held in high honour’ such that the appearance and function of our facilities is maintained to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, toilet cleaning etc)
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs
  • Stock and maintain supply rooms
  • Cooperate with the rest of the staff
  • Follow all health and safety regulations

Skills, Experience and Personal Qualities:

  • Ability to work within the ethos and values of the Church
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous cleaning experience
  • High level of attention-to-detail
  • Good organisational abilities
  • Enthusiasm to develop your skills and knowledge

Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator

Based: Bridge Community Church (BCC), Rider Street, Leeds LS9 7BQ

Salary: £7,228.00

Hours: 10 hours per week

Reporting To: Children/ Youth Team Leader

The SENDCO’s fundamental task is to offer support to families with SEN children, within and connected to BCC, and to encourage the participation, support and learning of all children with SEN in a sustainable, manageable way.

  • To provide teaching programmes and children’s / young people’s learning support.
  • To provide support for families who attend and those connected to BCC, and to signpost them to other supportive organisations.
  • To provide focussed groups / events for SEN families to attend.
  • To assist the Children and Youth Team Leader in the strategic direction and development of SEN provision at BCC.
